@mafuru_ru@Globalstats11 and North Korea doesn't recognise South Korea as a country either, yet South Korea is a country and the north is not? Talk about double standards.
@mafuru_ru@Globalstats11 Yes it is. North Korea is universally recognized as a sovereign country and has been a member of the United Nations since 1991.
@Fritz_Haber420@PaulineHansonOz The issue with Desalination plants is that it requires a lot of energy to run. So now, you are committing energy produced by the nuclear station to desal to create water that's more expensive than regular water and ends up with reduced consumer supply.
Double negative to prices
@donjujujr@forallcurious I think the biggest difference is European Cities lack a lot of Natural/Passive cooling, and there is too many surfaces that absorb the heat (Roads).
Also, I'm pretty sure Europe has been suffering in Summer from Heatwaves every year, I think it's time Europe learnt from us.
@viviauskassel@forallcurious That is true. Just like Australian homes are not built for extreme cold/snow, I understand that a lot of European homes are built for warmth.
That being said, not all homes are Air Conditioned/Climate Controlled (Very expensive here), so we rely on Ceiling fans, and Trees.
