We had a nice, if not warm, gathering at the site of our stolen Jackie Robinson statue. Thanks to everyone who came out. It was good to be together, and especially to see a good number of our kids and players. I love them.

Overnight, our @League42ICT Jackie Robinson statue at McAdams Park was stolen. Someone cut it just above Jackie's shoes and hauled it off in a truck. Our organization is devastated. So am I.
They say “Game Recognizes Game” and often that holds true. Today what we experienced in the stands at Assembly Hall felt like tradition recognizing tradition.
It’s not often we sit elevated from the floor, but the broadcast seats at IU offer a slightly higher angle that put us right there with the fans and one that forces those same fans to have to exit right in front of us as they head out.
On the heels of KU’s big comeback, hoards of disappointed Hoosiers had to patiently file out in front of us and every single one had a kind word on the way out. “Big win.” “Love your team.” “Congratulations.” “Good luck the rest of the way.”
It was sheer class by the home fans. They couldn’t have been nicer. Perhaps we’d encounter similar grace in other places if we frequently sat in the stands, but this felt different. It felt special. Kudos, Hoosier fans. Not only do you have a special building and rich history, but you’ve also got first class fans worthy of such a program.
Much Respect, @IndianaMBB. Hope to see you again. #kubball #iubb
