@MathsNot Why? Some of us need it. I'm a private candidate, many of us have struggled to get centres to assess us or assess us fairly. This whole set up has been extremely difficult, autumn exams feel like a safety net because I sure as hell dont want to wait for summer 2022 for exams.

Students in the Republic of Ireland are granted optional exams in 2021. Hopefully England will follow suit.
