At this time of year it’s really encouraging to read the annual reports from churches across the Northern Diocese.
There’s so much going on in terms of worship, building community, and outreach. There are challenges too, of course, but I’m so proud of all the clergy and laity.
I’ve a busy few days ahead: Meetings & Dinner at St John’s College Durham in my role as a member of the Senior Common Room, Northern Diocesan Synod, then visiting the saints at St George’s Blackburn. Lord, make me a servant and a blessing to those I meet.
Please pray for the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit as our Northern Diocesan Synod meets to review and further the vision to be Good News for the North: Sharing Life, Revitalising Parishes, and Planting Churches.
Join us as the Rev Fergus Butler-Gallie discusses his new book "Twelve Churches". Friday 17 Oct at 11 am. All are welcome.
