Advice from a lifelong learner: Whenever your reading a book to learn a new subject, especially a particular complex subject you have a hard time grasping read theough the book once completely even if you cant understand the subject... (continued in comments...)

dont mind the misspelling and particular = particularly

...when you actually try to put the understanding into memory through memorization. Through all my years of kearning I have found this pattern of kearning to be the best way to grasp extremely complex subjects...it might not work for all but it worked really well for myself.

...dont spend to much time trying to understand each concept that you dont understand, just read through the entire book completely. Read it a second time trying to grasp yhe concepts and understand it a little more in detail. Finally, the third time you go through it is ...
