Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill introduced today, ringfencing rent debts accrued by businesses mandated to close during the pandemic. Very proud of joint @beisgovuk @luhc working to get here and publish new code of practice with the details.

NEW laws and Code of Practice introduced today will help tenants and landlords resolve the remaining commercial rent debts accrued because of COVID-19.

Changes will protect tenants from rent debt claims against them and help market return to normality.
