@Politics_Reply I am in the midst of developing thoughts. My preliminary thoughts are that these kind of name games are undemocratic and Other Dan Sullivan should not be running, but i'm not totally settled on whether incumbent labels should be on the ballot
Okay, this has bugging me. Maine has RCV and pro-RCV folks have been saying for years that their pet system means more and better choices, less negativity, less polarization, and no spoilers.
Why isn’t a reasonable independent running with real chance to win? Might it happen?

It’s true that visas allow you to get a job, but that is not what anyone has ever meant by “material benefit”
@AlexGodofsky Anyway, as to the main point, I think it depends. Some instances of it are clearly not fine, like Israel heavily filters immigration stuff based on whether they’ll vote for Bibi
@AlexGodofsky Non-citizens are still protected by most of the same constitutional rights! But even regardless of whether the first amendment formally protects them, free speech is a broader social concept that of course also applies to foreigners
