Excellent blog post for @HEPI_news by Research and Innovation's @cr_daley and @MattSmithRHUL from the School of Humanities examining the role of the arts and humanities within a UK research policy context.
Alongside @MattSmithRHUL, I have written a blog post for @HEPI_news exploring where the arts and humanities fit within the UK research policy environment. Whilst overall R&D investment rises there is currently little vision for the place of A&H research.
Today we are hosting a grant writing workshop with @ThinkWrite as part of our Research Application Support Programme (RASP). Lovely to be back in the Picture Gallery!

PRO BUDGETING TIP
When eligible, staff costs often make up most of a project budget.

Both documents are wide ranging, covering areas including emerging technologies and collaboration between industry/business and universities (Innovation Strategy), through to issues around research culture/integrity and public engagement (People and Culture Strategy).
In the past week @beisgovuk released two important documents. The UK Innovation Strategy and the R&D People and Culture Strategy. Both strategies are an important read for anyone working in research and innovation.
