During the National Mourning Week, the four Genocide memorials inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List - Kigali, Nyamata, Murambi, and Bisesero - are illuminated each night as a symbol of global solidarity in remembering the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
These memorial sites honor the hundreds of thousands of victims of the Genocide, reminding us of the atrocities the victims endured - and how the international community failed to save them.
This is why we pledge "Never Again."
