These are the same Turks who perpetrated genocide against the Maronite Christians of Lebanon between 1860 and the 1915–1918 period—an event known in Aramaic as *Kafna* (systematic starvation, expulsion, and ethnic cleansing in Mount Lebanon), resulting in the deaths of 220,000 Aramean Maronites. These are the same Turks who carried out the genocide against the Aramean-Syriac people in Tur Abdin in 1915—an event known in Aramaic as *Sayfo* (meaning "the sword"), which claimed 300,000 lives.
These are the very same Turks and their supporters who massacred two million Pontic Greek Christians and 1.5 million Armenians. To this day, these barbarians deny their atrocities. And now, they want to be Israel’s northern neighbors!!! If the U.S. wants stability in Lebanon, it must consign their initiative to the dustbin. Otherwise, world powers will find themselves marching their armies into Lebanon to save the Christians from yet another genocide there, and to prevent an attempted genocide against the Jews in Israel.

Today in Munich, a German court sentenced Kurdish Muslim ISIS member Twana to life in prison. His ex-wife Asia got 9.5 years.
They bought two Yazidi girls, one only 5 years old, as slaves in Mosul. Twana repeatedly raped them while Asia helped prepare the assaults, beat the girls, scalded one with boiling water, forced them to work like slaves, and tried to erase their Yazidi faith before handing them to other ISIS fighters.

Said Mansour Rezk Abdelrazek is a 30-year-old Egyptian man and a Christian convert.

Due to his faith, Said has endured severe persecution. This includes arbitrary arrests, torture, abuse, forced divorce, separation from his young son, prolonged surveillance, denial of access to legal representation, repeated attempts to coerce him into renouncing his faith, and ongoing punishment for peacefully exercising his freedom of belief. 

To escape persecution in Egypt, Said went to Russia with a tourist visa, applied for asylum, and formally converted into the Russian Orthodox Church. While there, his outspoken criticisms of Islam induced backlash. 

He was imprisoned for 11 months in Russia and was later deported to Egypt in 2024. This occurred although he held a UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) attestation, which confirmed his refugee status. The Russian government revoked this after receiving threats from Muslim groups, stating that Said’s online criticism of Islam might trigger mass social unrest. 

Said was arrested again upon his arrival in Egypt.

If Said hadn’t been deported from Russia, he wouldn’t be tortured in an Egyptian jail right now. Currently, his fiancée is waiting to reunite with him in Australia. Please help him. @WhiteHouse @POTUS @StateDept @USEmbassyCairo

Vor ein paar Jahren erzählte ich einem katholischen Flüchtlingshelfer, daß ich ein sehr schönes Buch über den Deutschen Orden gelesen hatte. Seine Reaktion darauf: "Oh, die Kreuzzüge... auch ein dunkles Kapitel des Christentums. Bemerkenswert ist, daß der Islam damals eine sehr friedliche Religion war."

Ich musste ihn kurz daran erinnern, daß den Kreuzzügen eine massive Expansion des Islams vorausgegangen war, die bekanntlich ein Gebiet umfasste, das sich von Indien bis nach Spanien erstreckte. Die Kreuzritter mußten im Vergleich "lediglich" das Byzantinische Reich vor den sunnitischen Seldschuken schützen und die Heiligen Stätten zurückerobern. Seine Aufwertung des Islams und seine Abwertung des Christentums waren daher völlig unsinnig.

Wie konnte es dazu kommen, daß selbst Christen derart krasse Verzerrungen verinnerlichen? Auch darum geht es in diesem Buch.

From Nicaea to Iznik

Nicaea was an ancient city of Bithynia located in northwest Asia Minor. In the fourth century BC, it was rebuilt by Greek king Antigonus I Monophthalmus.

Nicaea is primarily known as the site of the First and Second Councils of Nicaea (the first and seventh Ecumenical councils in the early history of the Christian church), the Nicene Creed, and as the capital city of the Empire of Nicaea.

Ottoman Sultan Orhan invaded and captured Nicaea from the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire in 1331. The name of the town was then Turkified as “Iznik”.

The Hagia Sophia Church, where the Second Council of Nicaea had been held, was converted into a mosque and became “the Orhan Ghazi mosque.”

This historically Greek city no longer has a native Christian population. One major reason for that is Turkey’s 1913-1923 Christian Genocide.
