Credit Card Fraud — September 22, 2012 — 1 year, 6 months

Theft of Means of Transportation — February 3, 2020 — 2 years, 6 months

Theft of Means of Transportation — February 3, 2020 — 2 years, 6 months

Misconduct Involving Weapons — February 3, 2020 — 1 year, 6 months

Burglary, 1st Degree — February 2, 2020 — 2 years, 6 months

Aggravated Taking of Identity — February 3, 2020 — 2 years, 6 months

Theft — February 16, 2020 — 2 years, 6 months

Burglary, 3rd Degree — September 10, 2019 — 2 years, 6 months

2024 offense listed as “UNLAWFUL” — June 5, 2024 — 1 year, 9 months

These aren't allegations I'm pulling from social media. This is the prison-record information showing imposed sentences.

And this is exactly why we need to have an honest conversation about our criminal-justice system.

How many chances should someone get?

How many victims have to be created before repeat offenders face meaningful consequences?

I'm not saying someone should be punished for something they haven't been convicted of. I'm saying we need to look at the documented history that came before this tragedy and ask whether our system is doing enough to protect the public.

Our police officers, recruits and families deserve better.

Public safety has to come first.
