The Paradox of ISKCON's Humanitarian Efforts and Allegations of Radicalism
Bangladesh authorities label ISKCON as a fundamentalist religious organisation.
The same Hindu monks who distributed food and provided shelter for displaced Islamists during many calamities including the recent flood situation in Bangladesh are now labelled as radicals.
The juxtaposition of ISKCON's humanitarian efforts against the backdrop of being labeled a radical organisation by the Interim government of Bangladesh is telling. ISKCON temples and priests have been under increasing attack in Bangladesh.
ISKCON leader Radharamn Das expressed disbelief at the government’s characterisation of ISKCON as a radical group.
“Even during floods in Bangladesh, we served people selflessly, despite criticism. Worldwide, ISKCON has fed eight billion people. Being labelled a radical terrorist organisation is shocking,” he said.
Since the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, the military-backed interim administration, headed by Nobel laureate Mohammed Yunus, there has been an unprecedented escalation of violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. Reports of Hindu homes, businesses and temples being attacked have drawn significant concern.
The Hindu community worldwide has appealed to world leaders for urgent intervention. There is also a need for western media and Humanitarian organisations to break their silence and condemn the ongoing persecution of Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh.

I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.

INSIGHT UK would like to thank Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, for raising awareness about the persecution of Hindus in Pakistan.
Theresa recently raised this matter in Parliament with Ministers in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
She asked, “Will the Foreign Secretary make representations to his Pakistan counterpart about deeply worrying human rights abuses committed against Hindus and other minorities, especially women and girls subjected to forced conversion and forced marriage?”
This pertinent and timely question by the Hon MP acknowledges the suffering of Pakistani Hindus.
Pakistani Hindus, and especially Hindu women and girls, remain extremely vulnerable needing protection and immediate intervention from Human Rights organisations.
INSIGHT UK’s awareness campaign in October on the “Persecution of Hindus” highlighted the inhumane treatment of the minority Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

Minor Hindu girl kidnapped, raped and murdered in Cholistan desert area.
The victim's father disclosed that his daughter was abducted while she was relieving herself in the desert late at night, a simple act that should never cost someone their life.
This incident further highlights the escalating concern regarding the coerced conversion, sexual assault, and forced unions of Hindu women in Pakistan, inciting global condemnation.

Dear @elonmusk@X please note that there is a big difference between Hindu Swastika and Nazi Hakenkruez.
Swastika holy to Hindus signifying peace, prosperity and good fortune, is entirely different to the Nazi Hakenkreuz.
Equating the two and using the word Swastika to describe the Nazi Hakenkruez is not only factually incorrect but also makes Hindus vulnerable to targeted anti-Hindu hate attacks.
Thank you @YannMeridex for flagging this.

Just see how Sohana Sharma, a minor Hindu girl from Sindh, Pakistan is crying, holding and kissing the hands of her father and saying "papa, papa take me home with you".
14 years old Sohana was kidnapped from her home, at gun point. Her father Dileep Kumar approached the court and in court when the minor girl told the judge that she wants to go with her father, the judge refused to believe her and said she is speaking under pressure from her family.
Whenever Hindu girls state in favour of their parents, Pakistani courts send them to a shelter home instead. In this so-called safe house they are pressurised to marry their abductor and convert to Islam.

Every year thousands and thousands of people come into the UK illegally.
Often we don’t know who they are, where they’re from and why they are here.
These are not bad people, but it makes a mockery of our system and it must stop.
