NOW: Newark Police shove protesters as they lock arms outside of the Delaney Hall driveway area to block vehicles leaving the facility

Mullin oversees DHS, has never been to Delaney Hall, but still lies to the public about what happens there.
I’ve seen what it’s like with my own eyes and spoken with detainees about ICE abuse. In @homelanddems, I let Mullin know the truth: Delaney is cruel, unsanitary, unsafe.
The dam is breaking. Americans don’t want Trump’s illegal, unconstitutional war, and keeping the pressure on @HouseGOP finally worked.
The House, the Senate, and the American people have spoken. Trump must follow the constitution and end this war IMMEDIATELY.
Because of your voice on Delaney Hall, the Trump admin just released 18 yr old high school senior whose story I told. They released the pregnant women held inside. These releases show ICE isn’t targeting the violent criminals. ICE is feeling the pressure. Keep raising your voice.
A highschool senior, a pregnant woman, and a man with Stage Three cancer. These are the people I met in Delaney Hall. When DHS tells you they are only arresting the worst of the worst, they're lying. These are everyday people kept in inhumane conditions with our tax dollars.
Christopher "Drew" Leinonen should be 42 today.
He died at 32 in the 2016 Pulse Orlando attack.
Reasonable reforms--closing the terror watch list loophole and restricting assault weapons and high capacity magazines—would have saved lives.
🚨 THIS IS WILD.
Rep. Menendez says he waited 15 HOURS outside an ICE facility trying to check on a detainee leading protests over conditions inside.
He says he told officials:
I’m not leaving until I know he’s okay.
Then after waiting overnight…
he finally gets inside.
And the first thing they tell him?
The man he came to see was gone.
Moved at 2 AM.
Read that again.
A member of Congress shows up for an oversight visit…
waits all night…
and the detainee he specifically came to check on gets transferred before he can see him.
Menendez says that detainee was helping organize a hunger strike because people inside wanted their stories heard.
Whatever your politics are…
when oversight shows up, the answer should be transparency.
Not a disappearing act at 2 in the morning.
Follow @AllenAnalysis to stay ahead of the curve.
I’m back at Delaney Hall with @RepAnalilia, and we were able to confirm the horrible conditions detainees described to us in our previous oversight visits. However, we also verified the release of some of this facility’s most medically vulnerable detainees and saw improvements.
Our goal is for this facility to close permanently, but these detainees need relief NOW. My colleagues and I will continue to conduct oversight and hold @DHSgov and @ICEgov accountable so these detainees can be treated with the dignity they deserve.
If you don’t like what you’re seeing at Delaney Hall, pay attention to what’s happening in Congress this week.
We must stop giving ICE and for-profit companies like GEO Group a blank check to create chaos.
NOW: "The Violence came from the State" - Anti-ICE Protester speaks about the Arrests outside of Delaney Hall on Sunday night after being released from Custody
If it can get this out of control in a blue city in a blue state, imagine what they will do in the shadows across our country. This is an abuse of our first amendment rights, and if we don’t put a stop to it now, it will only get so much worse.
Trump’s @DHSgov is LYING to Americans about what’s happening inside Delaney Hall. I saw what was going on with my own two eyes—this facility needs to be closed down.
I took this photo today of a detainee at Delaney Hall being carried out on a stretcher and into an ambulance. This was after reports of guards beating and teargassing detainees on hunger strike.
The level of cruelty is unimaginable. We need to shut this place down.
