I've been unusually lucky health wise and not had to visit an ER for an emergency in my adult life, but I often think of just dropping my family doctor cause so many people need one, but the clinic says they're broke.

I know one person with a broken back who was diagnosed with a pulled muscle. The ER isn't perfect, and the staff are often tired. Be careful accepting an expert opinion on anything, including medicine, and ask questions.
