@WiganFans_RL It’s the same in football, look at the French team- all African. Tbh I don’t have a problem with it, I have family in Auz who have been there since the £10 ticket, they still identify as British- so do their children.
@BlazeMeister78@ASViking No ‘Londoners’ exist now sadly, most moved out to Essex etc. London is now just full of people who don’t know what rugby league is, in fact most of them hardly know what ‘English’ is
@WiganFans_RL Some do. But the same could be said for Leeds, Bradford , St Helens, Hull. Huddersfield and Wakefield have also produced their fair share.
@BradWalterSport@SteveMascord No but there is one in the uk - Belle Vue , Wakefield, the oldest rugby league ground in the world - proper heritage there!
@OutlawedRugby@TheRFL They won’t play as ‘Great Britain’ again due to the funding that Rugby League recieves from ‘sport England’ which requires them to play as England.
@LeagueFreak 2/2 . Mostly in the championship. When/if the NRL take over it something they should certainly revisit. Maybe a legacy championship club could form a partnership to launch- similar to Perth/ North Sydney.
@LeagueFreak Some of your ‘commentary’ is bullshit but you have a fairly decent point here but if you recall Toronto were bankrupt, and the RFL had no money to prop them up. So it was a challenge.
What is a massive loss is the fact that Toronto got 7-8k fans per home game ,1/2
