@BeSeenHoops1045 @JucoRecruiting @JUCOadvocate D1 Club teams have gotten serious with all the smaller colleges closing in the US over the last 5 years. Many now offer a decent amount of Athletic Scholarship money and can play pretty much any other level team in non-conference games.

Today the Ambridge Bridgers Boys Basketball team beat Sto-Rox High School by the score of 69-67 in overtime in the PBC Classic. Senior point guard Shaquille West Jr, who finished with 23 points, hit a shot at the buzzer to cap the win. Senior Guard/Forward Jared Astorino led the Bridgers with 25 points in a gutsy effort. Other key performers were Senior Center Keldan Carr and wings Nolan Pugh & Dom Lees, as well as Junior guard Jaziah Smith (who got the steal that led to the winning hoop) and Emmitt Olenic.

Last night the Ambridge Bridgers Boys Varsity Basketball Team beat Beaver Area High School 75-70 in WPIAL 4A Section 2 play. That win broke Ambridge’s 19 game section losing streak dating back to early 2024. This is also the 2nd straight win for Ambridge as they defeated Beaver Falls last Friday in a non-section game. Against Beaver, Jared Astorino led with 25 points and Keldan Carr (16 points, 18 rebounds), Shaq West (16 points) and Jaziah Smith (10 points) all contributed greatly.
