@Joshua_Newman@JacobHRichman I spent 17 hours in Indianapolis from 3 p.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. this morning, and I think the committee nailed the rankings/bracket. Does that answer your question? 😂
While in the City of Los Angeles for the @sixers vs. @LAClippers game, I toured the incredible @IntuitDome, the newest arena in the country. For the past 2.5 years, I have been committed to exploring the latest and most innovative arenas in the world with one goal in mind: to build something truly special in the City of Philadelphia. Our city deserves an arena that reflects its greatness and provides our communities with world-class facilities and spaces; bold, dynamic places that not only inspire the next generation but also energize our team and fans. I can't wait to bring this vision to life alongside all of you, and welcome you to @76Place.
@CouncilmemberJG Good that Council is focused on SEPTA, but it should direct those efforts at H'burg. 76ers should be good partner, but not their job as private business to rescue SEPTA. Team will do its part by boosting demand via 76 Place, but that's yrs away; gov't needs to secure funding now.
@TBracketology @Sidelines_SN If PSU loses to Illinois, what's the better result for the Nittany Lions in RU v UM? A Rutgers win that seals Michigan's fate?
@PHLschools Why steal another day of in-person instruction from kids after the last two years? Just cancel the day and make it up with, you know, actual school.
@PhillyParent@watlington_sr@PHLschoolboard@PHLPublicHealth FWIW the summary page at that link says masking after an exposure is "strongly encouraged." "Masking should be maintained for 10 days after exposure." Regardless, @PHLPublicHealth should also focus all of its attention on vaccines for elderly and not masks for kids.
Virtual learning is not a suitable replacement for being in the classroom. Would like to see PA/Phila follow MA in declaring that remote learning no longer qualifies toward required 180 days while allowing kids to be kids with snow days. #phled
New York City schools have declared no more snow days. What about Philly?
While district officials stopped short of making the same declaration, they signaled that virtual learning makes cancelling school for winter weather far less likely. #Phled https://t.co/Hf3LY75weU
@PhillyMayor@PHLfamilies@WonderspringECE This kid's expression says it all.
@PhillyMayor visits kids unmasked.
Meanwhile all public schools in Philadelphia require masking because @PHLschools@watlington_sr and McDow live in an alternate reality where kids are the front line of protection against covid
Yep. Mad.
@PhillyParent@PHLschools Agreed. Protocol in 22-23 should be, "Stay home if you're sick. "Exposures" are a part of daily life now so I don't even need to know if a classmate is pos. I'm following because CDC influences decisions and to highlight the absurdity of @PHLschools going against the guidance.
Each passing year makes this tweet more and more true sadly;
My fellow democrats and progressives were on the wrong side of this issue. I tried to tell them. They are still are making mistakes.
The goal is getting kids back in school; 100% normal
Mandates are a distraction
