READY TO WALK: @therecordguild has voted to authorize a walkout, fed up with @Gannett's refusal agree to a fair contract with living wages, despite three years of bargaining. More here....
An overwhelming majority of unionized workers @therecordguild voted to walkout unless #Gannett ceases its slow-walking at the bargaining table to offer wages and reasonable job protections. Please consider donating to our fund. https://t.co/9Yj8MqLA5x
It’s official: We have a contract!
@appmcjguild members overwhelmingly approved our new contract with a 97% ratification vote and 92% turnout.
We’re also thrilled that our comrades and strike vote siblings @hvnewsguild also ratified their contract today.
Both @hvnewsguild and @appmcjguild have ratified their contracts! @hvnewsguild did so unanimously with 97% turnout and 97% of @appmcjguild members who voted, voted to approve. Congrats to them!
Breaking news: WE WON!!!!!!!!
We've reached a tentative agreement with Gannett on a 2-year deal with strong salary floors and delivers life-changing raises to many of our members.
We’re also thrilled for our @hvnewsguild comrades, who also reached a TA.

The @appmcjguild is bargaining all day today. If Gannett management doesn't get serious about settling a fair contract, our members are ready to walk off the job (with @hvnewsguild).
If/when that happens, we'll need all the help we can get.

READY TO WALK: Our members at six @Gannett newspapers in New York and New Jersey have had enough and voted by 95% to walk off the job. They are fed up with @Gannett disregard for labor law and refusal to agree to a fair contract after three long years of bargaining.
BARGAIN NOW: Our @Gannett members in New Jersey received major support from @RepSherrill, who wrote to CEO Mike Reed and the Gannett C-suite demanding the company settle contracts that provide livable wages and regular raises as soon as possible. Read here for more…
We showed up at Guild negotiations today in Eatontown, N.J., to fight for a fair contract from Gannett for the Asbury Park Press, https://t.co/nzddesTYOs, and our sister newsroom in Central Jersey. https://t.co/89WccuMmrM But they are stalling. Help support us and local news.
It felt like summer in November today and the @appmcjguild took in the sunshine on the boardwalk, talking to people in our community about our fight to save local news. ☀️🌊✊
@PezRadar I have purchased VoH Ultimate back in July on XBox. It’s not on character select, but it’s unlocked everywhere else. I had mount and all pets previously. Help.
It's been three years since we organized and formed our union. It's time for Gannett to reach a fair and equitable contract with us to provide wage stability and fairness. The time is now.
We, the editorial staff of the Asbury Park Press, the Home News Tribune and the Courier News have told your stories, spoken truth to power and amplified the voices of our most vulnerable communities for nearly 150 years.
With @rocnewsguild on strike and Gannett sticking to a proposal that would cut pay for most of us, the APP contingent of @appmcjguild is working together today (for the first time in years and, for some people, ever!) to remember why we're in this fight in the first place.
A huge thank you to the one and only @dpwillis732 for talking to the @ComHS_MCVSD advanced mass media class about how to stay at the top of your game even through change in the news industry. @MsKHarmon
