@FreezeFriars@billy_largin@GoldyHappens@DamonDawg Again, they called it with common sense. He was running THROUGH the bag and never attempted to advance to second. He can tag him all he wants but he’s not going to be out.
@FreezeFriars@billy_largin@GoldyHappens@DamonDawg Well apparently he was called safe since the umps have common sense and they see both were confused, tried to avoid each other but unfortunately ended up on same path. Freak play and not something you practice so it was awkward and unfortunate.
@FantasyFiend17@GoldyHappens@DamonDawg Nothing more. This is all that happened. Just unfortunate that they guessed the same running path while trying to win the play.
@Lgzebra25@billy_largin@GoldyHappens@DamonDawg He jumped to try to slow down AFTER touching the bag. Of course he braced for contact. It was a very unfortunate play. Both agressive for the out and they guessed wrong regarding other persons running path. Just unfortunate.
@FreezeFriars@billy_largin@GoldyHappens@DamonDawg They both were trying to figure out where the other was going to run and unfortunately both guessed on same path while trying to make the play. It’s just an unfortunate play. Nothing more. IMO, fielder needs to slide in like every other 1B does on a similar play.
@thx6969@HaterReport Can happen to literally any HOFer. He more than made up for it with a HR in the bottom of that same inning and the game winning RBI hit in the bottom of the 9th.
@balkwhisperer First time in my life I have ever seen this and happenening at the MLB level is insane. Does he understand the rule so much more than the rest of us and was he purposely testing it? lol
@ShaneEthridge@balkwhisperer He definetely makes a move that way. I seen it in the video and someone posted a screenshot up here as well. Like the poster said, it is a judgement call and I saw what appears to be a move but has NOTHING to do with passing the foul line.
@SayHiJames@CoachBeede Agree 100% and I’ll follow up with this and say “good and clear video”. So many kids have lots of shaky video, too far or out of frame. Coaches have specifically asked for clear shots behind home of pitchers. They don’t want to have to zoom or stabilize. Make it easy on them.
@FlyGodIsAwesome@JomboyMedia That’s my point. It wasn’t a knock. I know a kid that does the same thing here. Gets crazy expensive so he chooses the work gloves to save money. If you’re taking a 1,000 swings a week with them, you are prob more comfortable in games using what you practice with.
@WolvesShowYo@Jacobtheclipper This entire 2+ min video had maybe 2 flops. The first clip and the last. Everything in between was legit and they never even fell. Just pumped and initiated contact. No one is complaining about that.
