@CoachBeede One thing I started early that everyone needs to start early (especially starting High school) is Video everything. You'll not only get the highlights, you'll also have a track record of development. Usually the first question from a coach is "Do you have any video?"
@mkorneski@DigglesDiamonds@CoachBeede I think the portal is also a cop out for coaches... you don't have to uphold your promises to develop players anymore. If you don't like them after a year or so, tell them to hit the portal.
@noahkagan@ericries Just went on a walk with a fellow business owner, He said, "I am reading 'Million Dollar Weekend', but I don't remember the author."
I chimed in "Oh, Noah Kagan" and he said "That's It!" like I just won a major award.
This seems like a double edged sword... you could just be developing players for the transfer portal. Also, who says you'll have a job long enough to realize the benefits?
@Don_K_Williams Unpopular Opinion: I see this as the development of a "North American" system of play. I don't think it is a complete style of play, but it is one of the things (good or bad) that makes North American soccer unique.
(It's the closest to a "system of play" that we have.)
@PaulSpacey If he can do it live in front of an audience in the first few tries, then sign him... if this is the 5000th take on his self-filmed Insta video, I may have some doubts. (Great shot though)
I'm starting to think ECNL ⚽️ is a marketing program from the major airlines to make more money.
ECNL - Endless Costs, National Layovers
Bringing families together - in airports across the country.
There's something amazing as a ⚽️ coach when you make halftime adjustments, the players take in the information and execute which leads to success. It really brings together everything we talk about when working as a "team"
@JoeAratari Wait until they get to D1 and have to lift, practice, play, eat right, travel, go to class, get treatment, study, do conditioning/speedwork, and get 8hrs of sleep. All day every day.
