Subject : Formal Demand for Immediate, Legally Accountable State Action in Six Days of War in West Asia, One Nepali Dead, Vacant Ambassadorial Posts in Three Crisis Countries, Mercenary Recruitment Threat Unaddressed, India Coordination Unformalised, All Multilateral Forums Silent.

On 28 February 2026, the United States and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury, a coordinated military campaign targeting Iranian leadership, nuclear infrastructure, and command facilities across Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, and Kermanshah, resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliated immediately with Operation True Promise IV: ballistic missiles and drone swarms across the Gulf, targeting US assets in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan. Ever since, the war has widened rapidly. It has not contracted.

Over 1,729,288 Nepali nationals are legally residing in 12 West Asian countries. One is confirmed dead. Diwas Shrestha. 28 years old. From Gorkha district.Killed at Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi, on 28 February, by debris from an intercepted Iranian drone. He was a worker. His body remains in Abu Dhabi.

Gen-Z Alliance for Monarchy does not write to claim the government has done nothing. Since 28 February, @MofaNepal and @pmsushilakarki have taken the following steps:

Public advisory issued.
Nationals instructed to stay indoors, follow local authority instructions.

1 March
Labour permit suspension for Gulf-bound workers announced for 11 countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, and Israel. ✅

1,729,288 Nepalis in 12 Middle Eastern countries confirmed at press conference by Joint Secretary Ram Kaji Khadka. ✅

2 March
Foreign Minister Sharma met Saudi Ambassador Fahd bin Mnikhr at the Ministry.
Bilateral ties and the regional situation discussed. ✅

3 March
Emergency Response Team (ERT) formally constituted under Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai @amritrai555 with 10 ministries and departments represented.
Online registration system for Nepali nationals in the Gulf confirmed operational by Department of Consular Services. ✅

4 March
150 Nepalis evacuated from Erbil; 90 in Kuwait transit provided hotel accommodation; 28 in Dubai transit contacted; 6 in Iran confirmed safe; 36 in Jeddah being routed via Pakistan and Dhaka.
NRNA formally wrote to Minister Sharma on 3 March offering to co-establish a 24/7 hotline. Offer not publicly accepted or confirmed. ⚠️

Crisis hotline was promised on 1 March.
It is not YET confirmed live or operational with a public number as of 4 March.❌

Formal diplomatic notes have not been sent to Israel, Iran, the US, UK, or any GCC state notifying them of Nepal's nationals. ❌

Foreign Employment Welfare Fund has not been formally activated.❌

The SAARC engagement is visibly Zero. @SaarcSec is 3km from this Ministry.
No emergency meeting called or requested.❌

Coordination with India has been visibly Zero. Nepali officials have met with Saudi Ambassador only. There is no confirmed contact with @DrSJaishankar at ministerial level. ❌

A public alert for mercenary recruitment warning has not been issued to Nepalis in the war zone.❌

Nepal's UN Mission in New York @NepalUNNY has issued no public statement, no coordination with allied states on a UNGA response. ❌

We acknowledge the genuine steps taken.
We will not allow that acknowledgement to function as absolution. And we must now raise a fact this Ministry cannot explain away.

Since the abolition of the Monarchy, we have seen the tragic decline of our Jatras.
