/UPDATE/The individual @CMPD arrested jumped a four-foot fence, trespassing under NCGS 14-159.12. This was a pre-existing fence to prohibit access to Charlotte’s light rail system, closed for the RNC. This fencing is part of an outer security area monitored by law enforcement.

An individual unlawfully entered the temporary security perimeter near the RNC Convention in #Charlotte. The individual did not enter an area where delegates are present for the RNC or impact any planned events. The individual has been arrested by CMPD.
