We don’t. Realistically. We stop the sales of NEW assault rifles. The value of assault rifles already owned then goes through the roof, making them available only through black market sales at a price that not just anyone can afford.

The first step we have to take is to just make getting a gun, if you don’t already have one, far more costly and difficult to do, and make the sentence for selling guns on the black market or in any way other than the ONE very strict pathway we establish, steep enough that it makes all but the most hardcore sellers think twice before doing so.

We have to do a LOT of different things, and keep doing them.
