There are multi-way lights on the junction of The Downs and Worple to enable night works tonight and tomorrow night from 10pm to 5am. These are for Thames Water to access underground equipment and it’s hopefully temporary 🚦💦
@dels_casio@Merton_Council@MertonLabour@Clarion_Group@WimbledonNews We were down there this morning, and have reported things like bulky waste not collected from 22/4, messy Polesden & phantom signs still on the bins (the flats have never had separate glass & food tin recycling so of course the recycling is all contaminated.) Sort it out Clarion!
🚦There are two-way lights in place on Kingston Rd outside Wimbledon Chase Station to enable Thames Water repairs to a Burst Water main. This is expected to last until Friday 💦
Fantastic to be out on the doorstep at Carter’s Estate tonight. Conversations included how the Council has been rubbish at keeping streets clean & how we have been able to support them through a major works Section 20 process. We can’t wait to do it all again if elected on May 7!
Good morning from Victoria, Matthew and Chessie! We are delighted to be running as candidates again in lovely Raynes Park ward on May 7th. Promoted by P. Gilbert on behalf of V. Wilson, M. Willis & F. Flack (Liberal Democrats), all at 181 Merton Road, London, SW19 1EE #RaynesPark
Thank you to Clarion for coming down to see us and Veolia then responding to calls about uncollected waste at Bushey Court. This was due to vehicles obstructing the turning circle so there are now new marked bays and a permit system. Good to see it being observed and enforced 🚮
While @MertonLabour tax-payer funded leaflets claim they're 'freezing Council Tax,' in reality households will see a 2.5% rise.
Calling this a freeze is disingenuous; it bets that residents won't read the small print.
