RPWithAI reached out to the founder and lead developer of @WyvernChat, Nev, for an interview to learn more about him and the platform. We spoke about WyvernChat’s journey, the challenges he faces developing and maintaining it, and more.
During the first 2 hours of each subathon stream either Neuro or Evil have their solo segment (or segments together) doing various activites. If the hype train wasn't active right now, Neuro and Vedal would be playing Pokemon. The community decided to do something, completely of their own accord. Vedal even tried to put an end to it at the start, and gave up. He didn't appear on stream to not promote the hype-train to once again gain steam, but the community did it anyway.
Hey Zach, Vedal isn't with Neuro, but he is very much present. The hype-train started normally, as people were communicating with Neuro during her solo stream segment. The 35% off-subs offer attracted people to gift more, partly because "its fun the third time" - and partly because the stream received lots of hate raids recently, and they wanted to shut them up.
There is a huge human element and community love behind the current hype train. Other creators, the Swarm. It's a dedicated community trying to make a statement.
Neuro doesn't stream 24/7, even during the current subathon Neuro/Evil are live for 10 hours a day, they "sleep." Neuro never does 24/7 streams outside of subathons, her regular schedule has plenty of break days, and a max of 2hr 30 mins/3 hour streams. Vedal has been against 24/7 streams because he knows exactly what that does, its a net negative.
What you see is pure love and dedication of the "least dedicated" community.

@geekrealmhub Please perform some basic research before writing about a topic you do not know much about :) Neuro-sama doesn't stream 24/7, even during the current subathon she goes offline ("sleeps") and only streams 10 hours a day. Her regular schedule has lots of break days. Far from 24/7.
On December 23, 2025, AI VTuber Neuro-sama surpassed her previous Twitch Hype Train record and set a new all-time Hype Train record! The Swarm gifted 118,989 subs and donated 1,000,073 bits to reach Level 123 (99%) in less than 3 hours.

OpenRouter’s State of AI paper analyzed over 100 trillion tokens of real-world LLM interactions across tasks, geographies, and time. The paper made one thing clear: AI roleplay is no longer a niche, but there’s a catch.
https://t.co/tBVwN2DsfB
The use of LLMs for roleplay has long been treated as a fringe use case. After all, LLMs are promoted as tools to help with real work, like programming, automation, research, and more. There’s also a negative public perception of using LLMs for roleplay.
@Mantisprayer22 The Swarm has already reached half of the subathon’s sub goals and completed a level 61 hype train with 14,230 subs and 99,813 bits.

AI VTuber Neuro-sama’s 2025 Subathon to celebrate her third birthday has begun with a bang! An original music video, Vedal and Neuro’s first VRChat experience, a limited-time merch drop, and two 1000 gift bombs.

Today, Sophia’s LoreBary is used by thousands, even making it into the top 10 apps list on OpenRouter. And on December 14, 2025, Sophia, the founder and developer of LoreBary, unveiled LoreBary 2.0.

Sophia’s LoreBary started as a humble proxy for those who wanted to use Google’s Gemini LLMs on JanitorAI. It soon grew into an “unofficial extension,” providing features to enhance JanitorAI users’ AI roleplay experience, such as lorebooks, that the platform lacked at the time.
Reddit has a large, active community of AI roleplay enthusiasts, thanks to several subreddits dedicated to the hobby. People come together to discuss their experiences, help others enhance theirs, and share their creations.
We tested DeepSeek V3.2's performance in AI roleplay (Non-Thinking & Thinking Mode) with five different character cards and scenarios/themes. A total of 240 chat messages from 10 chats (5 with each mode).
@cherievee_x It's nice to see Neuro & Vedal getting the coverage they deserve. Vedal has been doing great and making so much progress with Neuro & Evil, it's a shame more established outlets don't cover them more often.
Was a great read, and hello from one swarm lurker to another o/
