Pelicans:
Update on this, I was informed by someone in the league that the NBA prorate of vet min. deals only applies to 1 year deals. So the Pelicans will be paying the entire $7.9M
His comment was, "I don't think they understood the rule" referring to Joe Dumars.
New Orleans Pelicans have seemed to make an unforced error. They signed DeAndre Jordan to multiple years. They are unable to apply the 10-year veteran minimum subsidy. This is where they would be responsible $2,449,421 on the cap sheet and the NBA would bring Jordans salary up to $3.9M. Since this is only eligible on 1-year deals New Orleans is on the hook for the entire salary for both years.
Wow! I watched my girls bring a Natty to LSU and now I’m seeing them shine in the @WNBA! Proud to watch these two @LSUwbkb Tigers tonight in Atlanta! 💜💛
