The regional training will be cascaded to lower levels within counties as @MOH_Kenya transitions from paper-based to a digital way of delivering #CHS countrywide through eCHIS.
Have you seen this new research which shows that #CHWs can reduce the risk of child mortality after adverse weather events by 46%? This highlights the importance of investing in improved community healthcare to build climate resilience.

The Alma Ata declaration defined #PHC as essential health care based on practical, scientifically sound, and socially acceptable and affordable methods made universally accessible to everyone in the community in the spirit of self-reliance and self-determination."
As #IMNHC2023 begins, we recognize the vital work #proCHWs do each day to reduce maternal & child mortality. Investing in CHWs--ensuring they are properly skilled, supplied, salaried, and supervised--means better care for mothers and babies in the world's most remote communities.
This #EarthDay, we recognize that the climate crisis is also a health crisis -- and call for investment in resilient health systems, led by community health workers, to protect the most vulnerable communities from the shocks of these crises.
"#PrimaryHealthCare workers are essential to our #PandemicPreparedness efforts. Because of the relationships that they uniquely develop with communities, they can help spot diseases as they emerge and pivot quickly to administer treatment in the face of an outbreak."
Thank you @PowerUsaid! She says we must unite in pursuit of 3 goals:
1⃣Finish fight against #Covid19
2⃣Build health security against new outbreaks
3⃣Rebuild resilience of our #HealthSystems by investing in the people who form the backbone of these systems: primary #HealthWorkers.
📢"6 million women #HealthWorkers are either grossly underpaid or not paid at all. When you are providing lifesaving care there should be no such thing as working for free. This furthers gender inequality & makes it impossible to recruit & retain the workforce communities need."
