Workload and maintainin work life balance is a common stressor for teachers. Schools need policies to support teachers manage often unrealistic demands but teachers also want to do their best and work very hard! A few of gentle reminders to put in boundaries to make time for you!
When we are stressed, it is easy to become overly focused on negative past events, worries for the future, the reactions of others, or other things that we cannot control leading to a sense of hopelessness. These are normal reactions. Try to notice what you can control.
Our next coping card for teachers - managing stress. Self compassion, noticing your own signs of stress, taking a moment to pause and breathe, and naming your feelings are all proven ways to help to calm emotions to help us to think a little more clearly. #mentalhealth#teachers
Our first coping card about stress as a teacher. You are not alone! A couple of important first steps are recognising your own personal signs of stress and making a little extra time for connections with others or with important things in your life. #mentalhealth
Stressed teacher? We have a gift for you! On World Mental Health Day we are launching our coping cards. Teachers are working hard to care for and educate their pupils. We wanted to send a little gift to care for you. Look out for our coping cards every afternoon this week.
