@SyuriStories@TeamYouTube I only am tagging YouTube on here because I wanted to get a secondary review. Ultimately they will make their own decision about whether they believe my content should be monetised or otherwise. I love this support and thank you so much for jumping in. But it’s totally their call
Hi @TeamYouTube. I’m novelist R. S. Breed. My channel entered YPP at 500 subs, gained ads at 1,000, then was suspended four days later for “generic/repetitive content”.
My video appeal was rejected. Could someone check for a classification error?
@Alien_Theory Nothing better than a narrative that is polarising!
Took me around 8-10 hours to read King’s novel - the movie adaptations never had enough texture…
Your hate for it is probably what makes me want see what Flanagan did with it.
@TeamYouTube Cheers, I appreciate you getting back to me. I’ve sent the channel details through the DM.
I genuinely enjoy being part of YouTube. I was just a bit lost because, as far as I could tell, I’d followed the requirements every step of the way.
Thanks for taking a look.
@J_Schiecke Man I’m excited to see his vision… King is always going to up there as far as authors go but after watching what Flanagan did with vampires OMFG - I need to wait until a bit until I can actually sit back and just watch it. I was sold before I even opened the trailer.
@TeamYouTube, my work exists beyond this channel.
My author website: https://t.co/NEWZwgXKbs
The fictional universe and its series: https://t.co/Y47i7UYB0n
My independently published catalogue: https://t.co/b6a1BCQxCB
These are the original literary works behind the audio.
Nothing is a shortcut. This has been a fictional universe I’ve written and decided to share. There’s nothing templated and I still continue to manage and respond to a community.
Your policy allows similar formats when the underlying stories differ. Could a specialist check whether my distinct original novels were classified as repetitive because of their audiobook format? If not, I’d appreciate knowing exactly what fails YPP policy.
@TeamYouTube If it was 12 months ago I would be happy to talk your ear off on the phone and speak confidently I’ve just unfortunately lost a few of those capabilities in the past year. If it’s my only option I will try to find a good window where I can do it effectively but it’s challenging.
@TeamYouTube @FractureCosmology on YT was accepted into YPP 4 days ago and had memberships/AdSense verification already underway. Today I deleted a few old unused experimental channels, made no other, and shortly afterwards it was suspended for “generic or repetitive content.”
@TeamYouTube Thanks. I understand the appeal process. My question is whether deleting several unused channels on the same account could have triggered a fresh YPP review of my main channel. The main channel itself was unchanged after being accepted into YPP 4 days earlier.
@TeamYouTube I have problems with my speech so it’s not that creating the video to demonstrate my creative process is difficult it’s talking can be hard which is why I am reaching out this way.
I already had 4 paying memberships and was accruing ad sense. It doesn’t make sense to me apart from potentially the things I mentioned triggering some internal process process as a result?
I’m fine to do the whole video upload process and showcase everything, if I absolutely have to, but there is nothing generic or repetitive in what I am doing.
