When the temperature exceeds 34°C, the risk of getting heat-related illnesses increases 7 times for women, 3.6 times for men. To minimize damage to health brought on by #climatechange, #CWB launched an app including a four-level heat warning system.
https://t.co/nNpsMM6qrE
The app can warn people about the level of #heat throughout the day or during the week so that they can take protective measures in advance.
In addition, it could also potentially be used to issue warnings for other types of diseases induced by changes in the weather.

#TaiwanICDF, which stands for The International Cooperation and Development Fund, is a #GONGO dedicated to boosting socio-economic development and enhancing human resources in a range of developing partner countries.
CWB stands for #CentralWeatherBureau.
As most of Taiwan's allies are prone to suffering from rising water levels under the #climatechange, #TaiwanICDF said it had signed MOU with the #CWB to intensify our allies' #disasterprevention and #mitigation capacity with the latest weather technology.

'On the other hand, companies listed on stock markets in Greater China had the highest ESG risk level, and companies listed on the Korea Exchange had the fourth-highest ESG risk.'
#ESG#CSR
Using raw data from Sustainalytics, the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) said the lowest ESG risk came from companies listed on Euronext and companies on the London Stock Exchange, and they were followed by the Nasdaq and the #TaiwanStockExchange.

Taiwan can no longer rely on typhoons and heavy rain and must find alternatives to moisturise thirsty agriculture and industry.
We are now in a situation where we have to look at solutions like those countries that have issues with water supply.

According to the 2021 datasheet published by @PRBdata, the lowest total fertility rates (TFRs) are in #SouthKorea (0.8), #Taiwan (1.0) and Ukraine (1.1). It also predicted that Taiwan’s population would decrease to 22.7 million in 2035 and 20.4 million in 2050.
#lowfertilityrate
The #COVID19 pandemic’s impact on fertility rates is still largely unknown, but the global population is set to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, a nearly 24% increase over 2020.

Besides, research has found out that wildfire smoke has caused the rise in Covid infections and deaths as smoke helps spread the virus and weakens lungs, making symptoms more severe.

'Huge wildfires highlight the dangers of climate change-related heat and drought for many communities throughout the world.
Now, relatively small fires on tropical islands in the Pacific are also rising, creating a cycle of ecological damage.'

There have been increases in the intensity and duration of heatwaves on a global scale.
'Taiwan’s summer may extend even further to between 155 and 210 days, with winters as short as zero to 50 days. '
Imagine a future without winter in Taiwan.

Within 3 months, from #drought to #flooding.
In future Taiwan, due to #climatechange, drought to become more frequent and severe in spring, and the total rainfall brought by typhoons will increase by 30-50% though the number of invading typhoons declines.
