For the record Norma Foley picked up 871 votes to end on 13'654. Her party running mate Michael Cahill received 499 to finish on 10'932.

The independent candidate reached 13 239 votes , sparking wild celebrations at the count centre in Killarney.

Michael Cahill has increased his lead on Billy O'Shea to over a thousand votes. 9820 to 8737.

Labour's Mike Kennedy has now been eliminated and his 2438 votes are being distributed.

Danny Healy Rae is just 105 votes off the quota after Count 9 in Kerry saw the distribution of Linda Gordon Kelliher's (FF) 2230 votes.
