As AI agents take on more tasks on our behalf, I think we need to distinguish between two simple but important questions:

Which agent is acting?
And who is actually behind it?

Runtime identity can help answer the first. But for a business interacting with an AI agent, that may not be enough.

If an agent is making a purchase, signing an agreement, or accessing a service, there should be a way to connect its actions back to a verified person or organization when necessary.

That’s one part of @Concordium’s work that I find particularly interesting.

By adding a verifiable identity layer behind AI agents while keeping personal information private, Concordium can help create greater accountability without putting unnecessary data on-chain.

I don’t see this as limiting what AI agents can do.

If anything, it could make people more comfortable giving them greater responsibility.

Because the future isn’t only about building agents that can act autonomously.

It’s about knowing who stands behind those actions.
