@FM_113@EricLDaugh@BhollowDon From the sounds of these "arrests", people were grabbing the ripped pieces that floated up. Nothing will happen, as this would be a waste of the courts time. No judge would prosecute this. lol
@FM_113@EricLDaugh@BhollowDon Lol. I thought everyone was just making stuff up anyways. You know, like how the president says someone sabotaged the pool with zero evidence, even though theres security/cameras already there. This is all a joke. The pool is falling apart from shoddy work and bad planning.
@TWaddle87 why does nobody talk about the $800+ million that’s still gonna be required by taxpayers for the infrastructure around Arlington? That seems even bigger than the PILOT fight.
@BigKen472@jus10chi Seems that point is being skipped. Even AFTER the mega projects bill passes, the Bears STILL have to somehow get the state to pay ~$900 million of public money to improve infrastructure. And according to Johnson, that number is an extreme underestimation.
@Rahimi_Harris@thescorechicago@ChicagosMayor You let him go on about jobs and selling downtwn. You don’t have to sell downtown to Bears fans!! You barely asked anything. Over $600 mil is STILL owed on Soldier from 20+ years ago, and you didn’t press him on a solution to that! Or that the Bears want their OWN stadium.
@Tami1501@DenverChannel The other option is the former reality show personality who believes in magic healing crystals. So it’s not like people have great options to choose from. Don’t blame the protocols, blame the lack of qualified candidates.
@WaddleandSilvy Honestly, I expect the Bears to do nothing. There’s a new mayoral election next year and Johnson’s approval rating is awful. Bears can just say, “we’ll reevaluate this next year” and wait to see who the new mayor is. Johnson is supposedly the one helping block megaprojects bill.
@thescorechicago Truth is, Bears can just wait. Theres a new Mayoral election next year (Johnson’s approval rating is bad), so the Bears can simply wait til next summer and reevaluate all this. He’s rallied members of congress to vote “no” in hopes of them staying in CHI, which isn’t happening
@thekapman@volter I mean, aren't they just about out of plays? This has been dragging on for 3+ years. The cost of materials and labor has only increased since this all started. Isn't the NFL saying "enough already"?
@CEmma670@thescorechicago Chris, why can’t the mayor and Chicago politicians flex their muscle against “Friends of the Park”? Isn’t that one of the biggest obstacles to the original plan south of Soldier Field?
