🙅🏻♂️Roy COOPER VETOED the statewide MANDATE PASSED BY NC LEGISLATURE that explicitly prohibited transgender women (biological males) from competing in women's sports. Had his veto not been overridden by the REPUBLICAN MAJORITY legislature, the resulting decision-making authority would have been arbitrary, town by town, school district by school district, effectively destroying NC academic based WOMEN’S SPORTS at every level!
The debate surrounding this action highlights fundamentally different perspectives on governance, equality, and fairness:
* The End-Result: any action that stops a statewide restriction effectively “permits the alternative”.
Meaning, local districts or the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) could choose to allow transgender women to compete on female teams, vetoing a blanket ban leaves the door open for biological males (XY) to play in female (XX) categories.
For those who view this as a clear issue of biological fairness and the protection of XX female spaces, Cooper’s weak feckless “rationale” for the veto would not change the core impact of the decision, had it stood!
HB 574, a uniform statewide prohibition, was the “only way” to guarantee what our Republican Legislators defined as competitive fairness across North Carolina; making Cooper’s veto a “direct opposition” to our rightful guarantee.
VOTE CONSERVATIVE VALUES!! VOTE RED!!
Roy Cooper blocked a statewide mandate that would have explicitly prohibited transgender women (biological males) from competing in women's sports. Had his veto not been overridden by the legislature, the decision-making authority would have remained decentralized.
The debate surrounding this action highlights two fundamentally different perspectives on governance and fairness:
The End-Result: Cooper’s action to stop a statewide restriction on transgender xy males from participating in xx female sports teams effectively PERMITS the alternative. Since local districts or the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) could choose to allow transgender women to compete on female teams, COPPER’s vetoing a blanket ban leaves the door open for biological males (XY) to play in female (XX) categories. For those who view this as a clear issue of biological fairness and the protection of female spaces, the rationale behind the veto does not change the core impact of the decision.
HB 574, a uniform statewide prohibition was the only way to guarantee what they defined as competitive fairness across North Carolina, making any veto a direct opposition to that guarantee.
@manfromnevada@whatleywarroom Exactly why TILLIS IS INCOMPETENT! Instead of doing his own fact finding, he was “told” what to believe and he obeyed, and stopped being a “representative” of NC , and chose to be an “obstacle” to the will of the people.
Roy Cooper is the worst governor in the history of North Carolina.
Cooper put men in women's sports, emptied out the prisons, and made every day life cost more.
NC cannot afford any more of Roy Cooper.
@Shari__Murphy@FoxNews “journalism” of today is no resource or example of writing skill. It’s a subversion of accountability and rational discourse. Sad state of affairs.
