@MahDryBread The one I played most as a kid was NHL '99 on N64, or even one on Sega Genesis (maybe 97 or 98?).
I never cared for the "Chel" bro modern EA era after that. High school buddies would play, and I'd be bored out of my mind.
Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey is an Arcade style hockey game released on the Nintendo 64.
You're absolutely *not* supposed to play it with 20:00 periods, 5v5, on a regulation sized rink.
But you can. And I did it anyways.
The game's score ended up 25-18, over 300 combined shots.
Here is the entire third period, for absolutely no reason.
@Dexerto I mean it sounds insane, but he's been through both. So I'll take his word for it.
Telling the history of Marc Rรผtzou's dive into the truth contest and Chibi's legendary SGDQ 2015 performance = harder than BUD/S training, confirmed!
Once again there are many news posts about a GoldenEye PC port "finally being here", some even appearing on Google's home screen. No there is not.
All the released ones so far are fully AI made, untested and full of issues. None is stable and working properly.
Glass embedded in doors doesn't care about weapon damage, only the number of shots taken. Thus regardless of whether you use the Klobb or the Golden Gun it will always take three shots to break the glass.
I think the Ocarina of Time remake looks GREAT! The haters are suffering from "Nickelback Delusion Psychosis" (hating anything cool).
And while the haters are seething online, I'll be baking brownies, and swimming in a LAKE!

12 minutes of GoldenEye 007 beta footage just surfaced on VHS tape!
Fans have been analyzing it to spot every difference from the final release.
The footage was recorded by players testing the game on the E3 show floor back in June 1997.
Full footage in the comments.
Sometimes it feels like I'm hallucinating. "Speedrun 007" and it's the latest OpenAI, Sam Altman thing.
How much do these guys know about speedrunning? Is GoldenEye speedrunning the foundational mythos of all happening in the singularity today? What's Sam's fav SpeedLore ep??
How could the early work of Boss & Wouter, and subsequent rivalries of Ace, Clem & Marc Rรผtzou been this deeply influential in the modern world of AI we currently inhabit?
First Palmer Luckey, now Sam Altman?
The future belongs to those who know GoldenEye speedrunning.
Was an honor to host @sama for an open Q&A with our SR007 founders.
Grateful to the @OpenAI team for their partnership and continued support of our founders. Excited for all that's ahead ๐ซก
@Solar_Sas That's likely. I could have worded my entire post as speedrunning being the "easy way out". It's a "cop out" on modern life, whether justifiable or not.
Your videos are the great, btw! I even PB'ed on Bunker 2 Secret Agent while watching "Monumentality" in Aug '21 !
This is generally true. "Speedrunning is the most degenerate act" etc etc.
However...
What speedrunning offers these "150+ IQ gigaautists" is a world free of "dumb roadblocks", like bullshit presentations, dumb hiring practices, pointless meetings, undeserved hierarchy, etc.
Speedrunning is actually incredibly hierarchical and orderly. The best players are generally ranked highest. This is untrue in many other aspects of life, for various reasons. And it's especially untrue in many modern professions. Modernity, and the modern workforce, is often more a game of "politics" than any merit-based, skill-based, results-based outcome.
And the "150+ IQ gigaautists" don't like that. Not one bit.
Speedrunning offers a world where your results *are* your outcome, no matter what.
Also, in the real world; things like curing cancer, solving antigravity, working on AGI and then warning against it, etc, often just get you fucking killed. By adversarial nations or corporations.
Speedrunning avoids this.
Video game speedrunning might be the largest misallocation of human capital of all time
You have 150+ IQ gigaautists devoting their lives to beating Mario Kart levels 0.00001 seconds faster instead of curing cancer or something
