🌳 A hundred people in a park
Imagine there's a park and 100 people are put in it for a while.
Nobody tells them why they're there. They're just left to do their own thing.
On the first day, almost nothing happens. All the people are waiting for someone to come and explain. But no one ends up coming.
In a few days, one person starts collecting rocks and arranging them by size. Someone climbs a tree because it looks fun. Two people find each other and don't care about the park at all. Someone tells the group they should race and see who's the fastest. One says "I will lead you all" and a few people let her. Another sits on a bench trying to figure if there's a larger meaning to why they're all here. One of them just lies on the grass and looks at the colors in the sky.
So what happens after a month?
The rock person has found five other people who enjoy collecting rocks. A few really like rocks. Some were just standing nearby and got into it.
Someone decides smooth rocks are worth three rough ones, and now some people's rocks are worth more than others' in a park where rocks are free.
The race happens every week. Someone wins and someone loses. The loser is disheartened over a race that did not exist a month ago. The winner gets a crown made of leaves, and people have started training to win this leaf.
There are a few others doing things alone too. One man draws in the mud with a stick every morning. The rain washes it away every night, and he starts again. One person has been digging the same hole for three weeks. Someone walks around the park every single morning humming a tune and seems happy.
Some people also switch what they do. The tree climber gets bored and tries the races. The one leading the group gets tired of the responsibilities and joins the one digging a hole.
The racers think the mud drawings are pointless. The rock collectors think the walker is going nowhere. The person on the grass keeps getting asked, "So what do you actually do?"
I think about this park often.
When I'm taking my rocks too seriously, I remember that I am the one who picked them up. The park never asked anyone to have the most rocks or the smoothest rocks. The people came up with all of that themselves.
What works for the one racing was never going to work for the one with the stick.
But looking at all of this like a game helps. Play till you're having fun. When you're not, go see what everyone else is up to.
It's just a park.
An Actress who resigned from TMC just two months back, is BJP candidate for Rajya Sabha from a state like Bengal where Party has two third majority on its own - this state where Hundreds of BJP Karyakartas were butchered, party didn't find a hardworking leader for this honour?
Sorry to interrupt your Sunday, friends.
I really hesitated to write this, but if I don’t speak up today, I will be facing a severe financial crisis within a week or two.
To be clear, I am not asking for charity or financial help. I am asking for work.
I have been completely without work for the last three months. My last project ended on June 30th, and since then I have knocked on every door I know—calling, texting, meeting contacts, and following up.
People say they will try, but after that first talk, the silence takes over. Calls go unanswered or get cut after a couple of rings. I honestly don't know whether the industry is shifting because of AI or if my age (52) is working against me, but despite over 13 years of solid experience in the field, nothing has materialized.
Now, my savings are down to the very end. I can barely hold out for another week or two.
I am a professional content writer, translator, and speaker who is comfortable on stage and in front of the camera. I write and translate fluently across Gujarati, Hindi, and English, with Gujarati being my strongest suit.
Many of you already know my grasp of politics and my political writing, but I am equally adept at covering Bollywood and cricket. My priority is media houses, digital platforms, or publications, but I am open to any genuine writing or translation opportunity.
I can work remotely or take up assignments on-site anywhere in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, as I need to be close to my elderly mother to take care of her health.
Because my situation is urgent, I am especially looking for quick-turnaround freelance assignments or immediate projects where payments can be settled on submission.
If you or anyone in your circle has work, please reach out to me directly in my DMs.
A humble, earnest request: while I deeply value your warmth, please refrain from sending just "best wishes" or "stay strong" messages right now. I am fighting hard to stay out of a very dark headspace, and right now, only actual work leads can pull me through.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your support. My inbox is open. 🙏
A salute to flydubai’s brave Indian pilot, Captain Smit Machchhar. Stabbed and wounded, yet he stood his ground. With the courage of "Arjuna" in the face of danger and the resolve of "Hanuman" when duty called, he fought back, opened the cockpit door, and gave the passengers and crew the chance to prevent disaster. He helped save 174 lives.
Tonight, from the UAE to India to Israel, people are united in gratitude, wishing Captain Machchhar a swift and full recovery.
A hero to his passengers, to aviation, and to people everywhere.
Salute, Captain.
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
Irrespective of its flaws, Glass is the material of the future. It's visually pleasing, faster to construct, allows for greater carpet area as they are thinner.

At a time when the BJP is already facing flak from urban voters over many controversial policy decisions and political high-handedness, Delhi Deputy CM Parvesh Verma slapped a man asking questions about poor road quality.
We’ll inevitably hear excuses about how the guy was an AAP plant or acting aggressively, but it doesn't matter. AAP-affiliated or not, every citizen has the right to question public officials. Secondly, as an elected representative, your duty is to exercise restraint and maintain composure, regardless of provocation, if any.
He must apologize without any ifs and buts.
Dear @RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw, Train 22425 Vande Bharat from Ayodhya terminates at Anand Vihar - far from central Delhi, causing low occupancy. Passengers prefer New Delhi station. Kindly extend this service till New Delhi Jn for better ridership. 🙏 #VandeBharat
