Gov. Stitt just vetoed the Oklahoma Survivor’s Justice Bill, SB 1470.

This bill would have allowed judges to take into consideration evidence of domestic violence while sentencing survivors for fighting back or for crimes committed during survival.

Oklahoma’s citizen-led ballot initiative process took a step backwards today with the passage of HB 1105, which severely undermines citizens’ constitutional right to petition the government.

@EquityLiteracy Equal plan time. We have some teachers who teach two courses and others that teach 3+ and they get the same plan time.

Teachers should not be assigned duties requiring them to monitor bathrooms or cafeterias. Any non-instructional time should be teacher-directed work time. Honor the work of educators, treat them like professionals, and allow them to actually do their jobs.
