We don't follow any command of beheading if some ritual is disliked.
Nevertheless, this doesn't change the fact that your Bengali forefathers abandoned their Bengali way of life under duress.

Name is an important part of identity n we Bengalis have Bengali names just as a German/Spanish have German/Spanish names.

Now, naturally, all of the nature moves. The process of weathering n sedimentation doesn't make one particle foreign in a different place. Forceful settlement makes it foreign.

The ones, like us, who resisted n stuck to the native culture had to flee n be refugees. So, I know.
