@BaseTitanium is the company that wants to come mine out the Tana Delta. People and wildlife will be displaced but somehow they are deaf to our pleas. I guess the sound of money is louder. Here's the @BankTrack report on what they did in Madagascar.

Rescuing an injured jaguar in Brazil.
The 54-kg (119-lb) young male had been swimming for hours, wounded by gunfire, exhausted and struggling to stay afloat before approaching rescuers for help.
I said it once and I'll say it again: by the time this regime is done with us this country will be a desert. This is rabid cutting down of trees and is ecocide. This destruction is abnormal.
Wakazi wa Kwasasi, Lamu, wameibua maswali kuhusu mashimo mengi yaliyofukuliwa katika eneo linalolengwa kwa ujenzi wa kiwanda cha kusafisha mafuta. #wimbilabahari
The government is much more focused on deforestation. If mature plantation trees in Kereita have reached harvesting age, let them be harvested under proper management and replanted. We need timber production, but we also need to protect the forest and the water tower.
@debarlinea Thanks i purpose to attend. One cannot claim to have considered environmental sustainability when endangered species research has only just begun this year? Where is that data?
@debarlinea If you do another space on this topic pls invite me and others who will be directly impacted, what of the fishermen? Giving kids mangrove seedlings is not sustainability it is a borderline scam. Lamu hosts 80% of kenyas mangroves! They will be destroyed.
Why do Kenyan authorities seem so antagonistic towards trees?
While you’re repairing a section of James Gichuru Road, is it necessary to cut down all the mature trees that provided shade intercepted stormwater and cooled the area?
Development and nature can co-exist, jamani!
@mohammedhersi Are you alive to the fact that lamu hosts 80% of kenyas mangroves or has optimism blinded your environmental compass? Why do you people laud destructive projects not happening on your turf? The myopy is frightening.
So people should not ask about the project because the government is supreme? They always do what is right? Where are the contract documents for the SGR and Express Way? Are we not getting screwed paying for losses that are contractual? Y'all need to grow up and stop gaslighting people who want to know details of the project, and no, asking questions is not opposing. You should know better
