What?

Okay. Let’s start over. You wanna go for a coffee? I need a breather and I miss you so I figured you would like a little time away from whatever you have going on. Unless you’re busy with… whatever. We can always do a rain check.

What?

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

Santa Maria, what?

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

Otto scrunched his nose slightly, dipping his attention down to keep himself leveled somehow.

“Ve are not killing it.” Sternly came Mirkó’s growl.

“No. We’re not. We can lure one.”

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

“Ew..” He murmurs, nose crinkling slightly.

“I’m… okay, how are we going to do that then?”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ An’ it’s no’ the entire dragon we need, it’s the underbelly scale and gill.”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

“Yeah, I’m having a hard time believing this.” Otto continued.

However, the Scottish MediWitch simply rolled her eyes, having already been giving enough of her energies to the boys.

“It’s no’ fire breathin’.” She scoffed. “It’s a serpent form of a dragon. ~

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

“You mean… a fire breathing giant lizard??” He stares in disbelief, shaking his head.

“No way.”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ ov healin’ the lad.”

“A dragon?” Otto seemed almost too skeptical over the fact.

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

By all means, quite possibly the most significant portion of Otto’s recovery was Mirkó. According to Lorna anyhow.

“There’s a dragon.” Started the Scottish MediWitch, gathering Otto’s correspondence notebook and quill. “It quite possibly would be our only way ~

Albert frowns, shifting uneasily as he rises to view the large man. Admittedly he made him rather nervous, but he supposed he would be instrumental in all this.

“What is happening?” Niamh frowns, moving to take the baby into her own arms.

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ the little one. “Mirkó?” Lorna began.

It took a second for the oak tree of a man to shift his glance over. Once he did, Lorna began again. “Do ye know where about the Beithir?”

“Ehhh, igen.” He nodded after a second.

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

“Aye,” Lorna managed through hesitant mutters. “Bu’ it’ll come with complications.”

“How?” Otto pressed on softly. He landed his head against Albert’s to comfort how he could.

Mrs. Henly tilted her head towards the tall man in the kitchen, distracting ~

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

Albert instantly felt wary of the whole thing, arms wrapped tight around his fiancé. He had known she had a complicated life, but somehow this made things so much worse.

“…You can reverse it, yes?”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ a pinch. “He’s my brother. An’ tha’ curse he poot ye under is no joke.”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

A delicate wind of discontent drowned over the correspondent at his fiancé’s request. He supposed he had to do that to it would make this transaction a bit more compromising despite the complexity.

For Albie. The only reason he would even engage in this conversation ~

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

Albert grips his hand gently, brows furrowing with concern.

“Otto, please… tell us what’s going on and how this happened..”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ if you will. “Your turn.”

“Ye’ve a contract with him, lad?” Lorna started.

“No.”

“Good. Then stay away from him. Tha’ was his way ov warnin’ ye. Ye should head it.”

“How do you know him?”

Lorna’s stiff shoulders relaxed ~

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ my question and ah’ll answer yers.”

Otto exhaled. “It’s a long story.”

“So is ours.”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

“Killing me, probably.” Otto stated in a soft jesting demeanor before realizing how poorly it came across. He melted into the sofa again. “How do you two know about that place anyhow?”

“Wha’ were you doin’ sneakin’ ‘round?” Lorna echoed her earlier inquiry. “Answer ~

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

“Then how exactly are we meant to remedy this?” She frowns, staring up at her uncertainly.

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ perfected. At least, from what ah’ve encountered.”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

Otto’s lips parted slightly, depending whether or not to mention what the Aviary truly entails. Instead, he disregarded the urge to inform his fiancé with this sort of audience involved.

“It’s no’ a matter of if.” Lorna frowned. “It is. It’s a curse only he has ~

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

“The… aviary? Like birds..?” He murmurs gently, confusion fluttering through the poor baker.

“Lorna, we can’t get involved in this if it’s him.”

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

~ down his back. A knot clamped in his throat. How did she know?

[⤞ Mr. Zapier of the New York Ghost ⤝ @RabbitWords]

Lorna’s hesitation on answering his fiancé hadn’t entirely gone unnoticed; nor did it sit properly with Otto. He slanted his head to the side.

“Depends.” Finally, Lorna managed. “Why ahre ye hangin’ ‘round the Aviary?”

Another wave of shudders spiraled ~

[𝙰𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚝 𝙳𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚢 @pastsurvival]

“Shit..” Niamh mutters, rubbing her temples as she moves closer to inspect the work.

Albert swallows quickly, “A curse means it can be undone, right?”
