@BenjiNaesen 9.5/10.0
Only thing missing was that the GC didn't take place between the best GC riders in the world or even the "best" GC riders at the start of stage 1.
Everything else was pretty damn near perfect. Even the route.
@BenjiNaesen Carapaz would likely have attacked earlier if he felt strong enough. Instead he tried an attack near the top test if Del Toro might be on his limit. If he had been Carapaz would at least have had a shot at taking serious time. Not attacking means he won't.
@m_mundbjerg Jeg har også haft et øje på den statistik. Kan man få prestigelisten til at lave en lignende liste? Jeg får "application error" når jeg prøver.
@Faust0w@BenjiNaesen Ciccone implied otherwise at the finish.
Anyway, depending on how fast it was being ridden they could have had Mads pulling for Vacek instead.
@BenjiNaesen@Faust0w My theory is that Mads rode the cat 1 hard so they could do the Mads/Vacek duo like on stage 5, but because Vacek didn't make it back they decided to go for Ciccone since Mads was there anyway.
@BenjiNaesen It's also very clearly a non-verbal criticism of his own team, but that's not something he needs to air publicly. Good on him for using the press conference to focus on his own status and how to improve the sport.
@CyclingBram He could also have a chat with Eurosport's Jip van den Bos - she had to retire from Visma due to long term effects of a concussion from a 'silly' crash that no one took seriously.

@BenjiNaesen It makes perfect sense from an operational point of view. Please don't jump on the bandwagon of making everything black-and-white for SoMe.
The sprinters/orgs/public wants a sprint and there's likely a contract. Cancelling anything but the sprint makes it as safe as possible.
@BenjiNaesen In the press panel he mentioned that he himself didn't even believe it was possible to win at that point, but that he wanted to try and get as many ciclamino points as possible.
