We’re living in a time where you can work 40 HOURS a week, cook every meal at home, drive an old car, have ZERO hobbies, and STILL have absolutely NOTHING in savings.
And before someone says “LEARN TO BUDGET”…Budget WHAT exactly?!
People are canceling subscriptions, skipping vacations, avoiding restaurants, and cutting back on EVERYTHING just to survive.
Groceries are ridiculously expensive. Housing is ridiculously expensive. Insurance is ridiculously expensive.
And somehow a quick trip to Walmart costs $150 when you barely bought anything.
People are EXHAUSTED. They’re working FULL-TIME, paying their bills, and trying to be financially responsible.
They’re not asking for luxury cars, designer clothes, or million-dollar homes.
They just want to afford a NORMAL LIFE without constantly worrying about their next paycheck.
When did working hard and living within your means stop being ENOUGH?!
Mind you, the main selling point of consoles has always been affordability. Making them cost $1,500-$2,000 completely defeats the fucking purpose. At that point, just build a PC.
@harrysmywife_ Well, I can't take ibuprofen anymore because I'm on meloxicam, but if I keep it up, I could probably go through a 1k bottle of acetaminophen in a year though. Thanks hEDS, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoarthritis 🫠
@aliciabannon4@Owennfa It's not hard to clean a couch or the bed (the bed would be cleaned between each booking anyway) and if you're listing the unit as pet friendly any extra cleaning services should be baked into the initial price. If the host was smart at least
The fact that every news outlet is like...."We'll break down how Trump's $5,000 voting payout would work" as opposed to "THE 34 TIME CONVICTED FELON, DONALD TRUMP FLOATS ILLEGAL $5,000 BRIBE TO VOTERS" is a huge part as to why we're here.
The reason the world is upset with Israel is because of the 700,000+ innocent Palestinians they’ve murdered.
It’s not because they’re Jewish. Hope that helps.
YALL IF YOU BOOKED HILTON EMBASSY SUITES IN TEXAS FOR THE ARLINGTON DATES THEY JUST EMAILED ME THAT THEYRE CLOSING THE HOTEL. LEGIT CLOSING IT. I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM FOR THE PAST 2 HOURS WITH PEOPLE WHO WERE GENUINELY UNWILLING TO HELP UNTIL I SOMEONE FINALLY HELPED ME.
Insurance denied my friend’s MRI last month.
Doctor ordered it. Said it was medically necessary.
Insurance said they needed more documentation.
Doctor sent more documentation.
Insurance said they needed a peer to peer review.
Peer to peer happened.
Insurance denied it again.
My friend paid $2,400 out of pocket.
The person who denied it was not a doctor.
Was not reviewed by a doctor.
Was an algorithm trained to find reasons to say no.
This is legal.
This is standard practice.
This happens 50,000 times a day in America.
@ty_hotcommodity My brother told me about this shit yesterday. They offered to give him $10 a month for 6 months for the inconvenience. These companies are getting ridiculous
LATE DIAGNOSED WOMEN ARE ANGRY FOR A FUCKING REASON - IMAGINE GROWING UP BELIEVING YOU WERE THE FUCKING PROBLEM, WHEN YOU WERE ACTUALLY STRUGGLING WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT.
My "high functioning autism" is basically everyone else seeing me as "completely normal but maybe just a bit picky/ particular"... while internally it's me in constant sensory overload, social overload, and fighting against my executive dysfunction to just do stuff
Applying for jobs while neurodivergent is confusing.
The job ad lists a bunch of requirements.
I don't have half of them.
Apparently the correct response is still to apply.
Why are we all pretending the list isn't there?
I am dead serious when I say this: If anyone ever comes into your workplace and asks for a coworker’s shift times, do not tell them. You have no idea who is asking. I always say, “I’m sorry, but I’m not at liberty to disclose that information.” Protect your coworkers.
