@maclisa999 That’s like saying what’s the point of there being a president or a superhero, the world is always going to have chaos and evil. If there is no one that can at least help in some ways then the world would completely fall apart rather than just having bad times.
@HarrierLocke@OB_Toast@AurenVossVT Fire didn’t take him 1 year, he learned how to bend it that first time with JJ but lost control and chose not to bend it again. Then in just a few weeks with Zuko he was able to gain control before the comet arrived (not quite mastered but still could fire bend very well)
@ZenoDLCGame@spooky_nigga Yes I agree which is why it’s silly to argue Pavi is some Mary sue or poorly written to have plot armor. She can bend, she needs more training to master the elements.
@Fenrirtheicewo1@jazzhott96 It’s not about being skilled at bending or “having the hang of it”. The silly argument being made is that you needed to be trained or instructed to learn how to bend but that’s clearly not the case, see Katara ep 1 for example. Benders can bend, they need to train to be masters.
@RykoiGarou THANK YOU, I’ve been in comments all day explaining the complexities of the bending skill gap. You put it into much better terms & broke it down for the media illiterates to understand. Also Pavi has only got the basics down to ensure her survival in the desert, She’s no master.
@HarrierLocke@OB_Toast@AurenVossVT He really didn’t take a long time to learn earth though. He learned it in maybe a few weeks? And some say he wasn’t even technically a master by the end of the show. Same with fire
@HarrierLocke@OB_Toast@AurenVossVT Bending is easy to learn the basics of (katara, tenzins kids, all the new airbenders in TLOK) Korra had a team of elite benders handpicked by aang, one being his son. It takes peak benders to help kids master the elements but it’s not hard to learn the basics on your own.
@OB_Toast@AurenVossVT Aang could bend the other elements, he just wasn’t informed he was the avatar until 12, he was raised at a time of war where the nations were divided. He was a master at air by 12, the only kid with tattoos, better at air than Korra was with water by 16. He mastered all 4 by 12.
@ArkTic666@SuperRocy@linguini_Master Now you’re doing semantics and idek your argument. The kids bending isn’t that absurd or out of the ordinary for the world of avatar. Simple as that.
@ArkTic666@SuperRocy@linguini_Master What high level bending have they displayed? Pavi couldn’t even earth bend (her natural element) rocks off Jae. And nisha even with years of training can only do basic attacks. They are not high level benders yet. You’re being dramatic.
@ArkTic666@SuperRocy@linguini_Master Yes the way things operate in the world change? That doesn’t break canon or make it as though avatars could never learn bending at a young age. You’re complaining about nothing. They’re all capable without an ounce of training, but their environment affected their performance.
@rurineco This is one haven that is in the central / south east which in lore has typically had darker skinned people, guru, southern water tribe, ba sing se, dessert. So if an apocalypse happened and everyone from that area bunkered down it’s understandable that a majority would be darker
@ArkTic666@SuperRocy@linguini_Master In their first training montage he bends BETTER than Katara sometimes even before she finished explaining the technique. To the point where we get an entire episode of her stealing a scroll as she was jealous of Aang outshining her with almost no training.
@ArkTic666@SuperRocy@linguini_Master Yes they didn’t begin learning the 4 elements as kids because during that era the avatar wasn’t revealed to be the avatar until 16. That all changed after aang because he ordered the white lotus to find Korra and train her young. Different eras follow different rules.
