@jeff_gluck@bobpockrass It hasn’t seemed very committed so far, I’m really hoping they can do something to get this back on track to at least be better than hyak

#NASCAR Iowa Weekend Predictions:
Cup
Winner: Ryan Blaney has looked good at short tracks this year and has run well at Iowa
Underdog: Josh Berry was 13th last year and 7th the year before
Struggle Bus: Denny Hamlin hasn’t run well and had some bad luck
@WillFlandersWI@bobpockrass Feels like they didn’t think about this because that’s a chunk of Talladegas race. Especially with how fast they fixed this, it just doesn’t seem well thought out. More of a bandaid fix
@JohnNewby_ The biggest problem is the stage breaks though, I understand that they need ads, but F1 goes ad free from flag to flag, surely they could figure something else out to keep the competition interesting
@JustinOros5 F1 created garbage rules to pander to manufacturers and sold tv rights to a service no one has, and nascar insists on long stage breaks for ads and their tv rights are everywhere. Indycar just copied an old f1 car and has been culturally irrelevant for decades at this point
F1 and NASCAR should collaborate one weekend (COTA or maybe Miami) that has the cup series as a support on Saturday night. It would do wonders for both sports by introducing the fans to a new series and it would be the ultimate American motorsport weekend. Who wants this?
