@PriscoCBS I think it's pretty clear what you're saying, and I totally agree - trying to judge drafts on value is a fruitless endeavor because we on the outside are - at best - guessing as to the "value" of these players. The consensus board doesn't set the market, the actual teams do.
@BDPeacock It's the specific names that fans don't love, and given that everyone thought this was a pretty weak class, teams will be all over the place on their grades on players. Pretty sure the 49ers aren't the only team to "reach" high vs "consensus" in this draft
@BDPeacock Wouldn't say absolutely love, and the Kaelon Black pick is what it is, but if we'd been told the 49ers were gonna pick up extra picks and still wind up with a receiver who can compete for an impact role and a pass-rush edge, we'dall have been cool with it...

The "consensus" is not setting the value on players. The other teams are doing that, and that's information that's very difficult - maybe impossible - to know.
