@folklovermore@wembleystadium How many tickets? And what price? So interested but didn’t get money back from scam so really struggling to afford crazy resale prices xx
We are horrified by the recent Israeli bombing of Ahli Arab Hospital in #Gaza City, which was treating patients and hosting displaced Gazans. Hundreds of people have reportedly been killed. This is a massacre. It is absolutely unacceptable...
“Patients are at risk every single day of the week… people are dying in the back of ambulances and this cannot go on”
This #bbcqt audience member, a nurse, says she will continually vote to strike “for patient safety”

We’re announcing a £21 million fund to enable the NHS to roll out cutting-edge AI diagnostic support tools this winter.
The fund will allow trusts to bid for money for new tech to help diagnose and treat cancers, strokes and heart conditions.

Do striking nurses still have your support?
Nurses have walked out of wards in the largest industrial action so far.
It's after they rejected the government's pay offer.
Nurses from intensive care units & some A&E departments are also walking out.
Do they have your support?
NHS England has told hospitals they are not allowed to increase their staffing in the next 12 months, reports @HMAnderson39.
One director said: "I worry that this will lead boards to take unsafe risks, and head into Mid Staffs territory."

@unisontheunion However, it’s hugely disappointing that despite a recommendation from its leadership to accept, @theRCN members have rejected the offer.
Their decision to escalate strike action with no exemptions, based on a vote from a minority of members, is also hugely concerning.

This person was a health secretary, and that tells you everything about why the government is unable to maintain a health service. Absolutely blissfully ignorant!
And how come your consultants are leaving you in charge like that?
Have you put in an official complaint?
Would @thebma support you?
Or are they too busy organising a strike..

I’m in tears because she’s saying she learned Bengali in the 80’s to understand her patients because there were no interpreters 😭
This is British pride 🇬🇧 she should be a household name 😭❤️
‘It’s the employer’s responsibility to ensure life-preserving services so we expect life-preserving care to be provided by members of the wider workforce’
& if you can’t find someone else able to do the job then you need to pay the person with the skills better.
Could it be that the media are cottoning on? We had 1:6 patient ratios in covid allowed, life and limb cover set by RCN could be similar although I doubt even that dire. And yet we wait for the government to even have a conversation about it.
I don't understand how ITU nurses will be able to strike. They are literally so important they are one to one for their patients. Highly specialised, hard to replace. How, exactly, will they strike without clearly risking patients immediate safety? #NursesStrike
Self referral relies on the public having knowledge of health to do so. This week on the critical care unit of a cancer hospital I had a phone call from someone trying to refer themselves to us for ‘orthopaedic services’ as they had hurt their shoulder… no word of a lie.
@Keir_Starmer Ok but how about trying to keep the experienced nurses that the NHS is haemorrhaging? A new out of the box nurse is not the same as someone with 20 years experience. Make the profession more attractive by retaining the staff we have!
