@JKnussen I remember being stood, rooted to the spot in my kitchen in front of the news each afternoon, waiting to see what I needed to have put in place by the morning. Ended up with dangerously high blood pressure. Perfectly healthy bp beforehand.

@PaulGarvey4 But will they? Funding in Devon is horrendous as DCC take all they can to plug their own deficit. £21k claw back per permanent exclusion - already a decision of last resort and now, potentially, going to take yet more money away from those who just want to learn.

@Katy_primary97 I’d just add a few different bits each time. Two bits of cheese, a cube of avocado. He’ll figure it out. My friend is a GP her son is 14 & only ever eaten beige and tomato puree. He’s a triathlete!

@HughesHaili We’ve worked so hard to do this and hear from our staff that they value the process and the time. BIG ‘but’, facing forecasted budget deficits that are eye watering the extra 60 minutes a fortnight might have to go. Hate this conflict between genuine development and finances.

“We’re mindful that the NJC Pay Award may affect staff who are in receipt of universal credit and other benefits.

We’re waiting to hear back from Payroll to confirm whether they can facilitate requests to stagger their back pay.”

@AnnaFazack1 @JohndickensSW It was in the context of his commitment to ensuring that inspectors treat schools with respect, empathy and understanding and that he hopes school leaders will do the same in return. It was about people. As humans. This was one sound bite out of a 30 minute speech.
