Again, IMO, SGE will only roll out if it's revenue-neutral or positive. Google explained it will be testing various ways to incorporate ads into the SGE answer, including sponsored parts of an answer. There's no way (IMO) they roll out SGE if they will lose billions in ad revenue
Google is drastically reducing the visibility of FAQ and How-To rich snippets.
After end of this week:
1/ FAQ = only for gov or health sites
2/ How-to = only on desktop
I have questions, like… why?
My thought: they take away too many clicks from Google’s SERP Features.
SGE is a whole other experience when you get to see where its information is coming from.
This isn’t just about SEO and the flow of traffic.
This is also about creating trustworthiness for users and a better UX. It gives users the option to trust the answers (or not.)
