@Haileybury Can #derekscott show some basic human decency and make sure teachers at Haileybury Tianjin receive their illegally reduced and witheld pay?
@Haileybury loves a cover up.

Covered up illegally reducing and witholding wages in China, covered up an investigation into child sex abuse charges against a teacher for 6 months in Australia.
#haileybury
The #haileybury colleges and their principals seem to have dodgy moral compasses. Once again a Haileybury principal in China has been taken to court - this time over pay during COVID in China. Real leadership heh Peter Rogerson? #haileyburychina#scumbags#auspol
@dinachka82 I mean, my great crime today was that I taught a child how to use transition words in an essay. Oh, and I helped a kid edit a short story they are submitting to a contest.
Life has improved so much since leaving @Haileybury Tianjin in July. I left along with 11 other foreign teachers. It isnt a good sign when half your international teachers leave, many mid-contract, becauze it is such a negative experience. #haileybury
In 16 years of international teaching I have never experienced anything like @Haileybury Tianjin. Abuse, illegal pay reductions. I was refused accurate payslips unless I stated they would not be used to sue or file complaint against the school (I have screenshots). #Haileybury
@controllermike It is made worse by the fact that teen boys are told to man up and not encouraged to turn to adults and each other for help and support. A lot of that teen rage is fear and sadness. I think we forget how young 13- 15 really is...
@controllermike Thank you. Our family motto is "Don't be an asshole". I don't have too many rules beyond that. Seems to cover most things.
Oh and don't leave wet towels on the floor.
@controllermike I love my babies but my class is 3/4ths hormonal grumpy teen boys who are bigger than I am.
Teen boys are so weird. Aggressive and cranky one min and the sweetest the next. I wish we spent more time watering the sweetness and less time worrying if they are "tough".
Finally got out of lockdown and now Beijing starting up so guessing return to lockdown.
Look I am a homebody but this is getting a bit much and I have some coworker extroverts who are gonna snap.
@ajosshi I can't count the number of Children's days where random shop owners gave my son treats. Or taxi drivers would slide him a chun won. One Children's day camping trip a man bought a huge sack of snacks for our herd of Korean and foreign kids. This rule besmirches the people.
@ajosshi When I talk about raising a foreign child in Korea I always say Koreans love kids. What sucks about this is the vast majority of the people wouldnt care about this, they love kids and they love foreigners appreciating their cultural heritage. This is gov knobs being knobs.
