We welcome reports of the ceasefire agreement in #Gaza, bringing a moment of hope to children and families who have endured unimaginable loss.
We renew our call for immediate and unhindered humanitarian access to all areas of Gaza. #CeasefireNOW

Breaching and entering a UN position is a further flagrant violation of international law and Security Council resolution 1701 (2006). Any deliberate attack on peacekeepers is a grave violation of international humanitarian law and resolution 1701.
Just outrages! & un acceptable in any way! What is the excuse now? Lebanese Red Cross is the most if not the only neutral organisation,
I was an LRC first aider for 8 years! Not once did i fear for my life during any mission I took & no one should now!

Following the airstrike on a house in Sirbine in South Lebanon on Sunday 13th of October at 8am, Lebanese Red Cross ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene in coordination with UNIFIL.
As the team was searching for casualties to rescue, the house was hit for a second time resulting in concussions to the volunteers and damage to the two ambulances. The lightly injured volunteers were transported to a hospital and are in good condition
Lebanese Red Cross volunteers should be protected at all times while attempting to rescue casualties.

We are outraged and deeply saddened by the killing of two beloved members of the UNHCR family and extend our deepest sympathies to their families.
The protection of civilians is a must, in line with obligations under international humanitarian law.

We are horrified by reports that five children have been killed in multiple attacks this week in Lebanon. Children must be protected and never a target. We urge all parties to respect International Humanitarian Law.https://t.co/MZmvRnLdlQ
No pupil in #Gaza has been able to attend school since November 2023. We’re calling for attacks on schools to cease immediately, as a generation of children are at risk of never returning to the classroom. https://t.co/R90Z41qOQ7

People in 🇱🇧 are facing an unprecedented, multifaceted crisis that is among the world’s ten worst since the mid-19th century.
More than half of the people live below the poverty line.
Needs are 📈& people’s ability to cope is reaching its limits.
WHO is appalled by the killing of two paramedics and the destruction of a medical centre and several ambulances in Blida, Southern Lebanon, yesterday. Health care must be protected at all time.
